THANKS to Adam934MX for this great Photo Posting Tutorial
Ok. I finnally finished the guide, complete with pictures. I tried to cover ever aspect as good as possible, to clear up any confusion that there might be.
Part 1. Creating an account.
In order to post a picture on the web, you must first create an account on a photo uploading website. The largest photo uploading websites include: www.photobucket.com , www.imageshack.us , and www.putfile.com. Accounts on the sites listed above are completely free of charge, and they take only minutes to get started and to post your pictures. Personally, I prefer www.photobucket.com for the reason that it is beginner friendly and a seemingly endless amount of space. Also, registration takes less than a minute, so you can be posting your tractor pictures within minutes of reading this guide. In the registration, when asked about offers from supporting companies, simply click “No Thank You, Please Skip>>>”.
Part 2. Uploading your pictures.
After registering, you are immediately forwarded to your photo album that is empty, if you just signed up. To avoid any confusion, here is a picture of the screen you should now be looking at.
Now that you’re on this page, click “browse”. Clicking browse will direct you to your computer files, where you can locate your pictures you wish to upload. After clicking browse, it should bring up a screen that looks like this.
Once you find the picture, which in this case is the Case tractor circled in red, you have to click on it once. It will highlight, and than go down to open, which is circled in yellow, and click it. The screen will close, and direct you back to your album. Now press the “Upload It” button, and your photo will begin to upload. This make take time, depending on the size of the picture, and your internet connection. Once done, the picture will appear in your album. Now the hardest part is done. Anytime you want another picture in your album, you must repeat Part 2.
Part 3. Posting your pictures.
Now, to post your pictures on AntiqueFarming’s forum, you must post the URL of the picture. To get the URL of the image you just uploaded, scroll down to your album. Once at your album, you can see the picture you just uploaded it. Directly below this, there is a “URL” option, and to the right of that is a box with the actual URL.
As you can see, the red circle is around the picture, and the yellow circle is around the URL. Click in the URL box, and it should highlight all the letters in the box. Right click, and than click “Copy”.
Now, with the URL, you can go on AntiqueFarming’s forum, and post it in the forums. To do this, you must be in the post a reply mode.
Now, first, click the red IMG button. This will put “[IMG]” in your reply. Now, after the [IMG], right click, and than click paste. Your picture URL should now appear in the post a reply box. Now, click the “[IMG]” button circled in red once again. If done correctly, your picture will appear when you post the reply.
Once agian, feel free to ask any questions you have about uploading and posting photos. |
