| I just got a Ferguson TO-20,I would like to know what is the diffrence between a Ford-Ferguson and a Ferguson,also my builders plate is missing I would like to know how to find out the age of my tractor,there is a date beneath the seat on top of the access plate of April 7,1949 any information will be appreciated. |

the term 'ford-ferguson' simply refers to a ford using the ferguson system.. IE.. a 9n / 2n.
the difference between your ohv engine'd fergy and the the flatty N ford is quite a bit other than similar size and look. there are some aprts that swap.. but many don't.
check yer casting dates to get an idea of when parts were cast.. take the last date and then add up to a month or two and that should be close to the build date.
