I have some information on the Massey company, There claim
was they were worldwide, Living in the bubble of United States
We dont realize How many of Our beloved tractors are abroad
You Guys from NZ are really doing a great job preserving
the tractors and machinery used in the 1930s and up.
Thanks for all the great pictures. and keep them coming !
New Zealanders have certainly been the big surprise to Us
here at Antique Farming. I personally never realized what a rich
agricultural community existed in Your beautiful Country _________________ My Email is always open fshook@gmail.com |

I have heard recently that New Zealand was the only place ouside the US and Canada that the Chrysler-engined 101 Supers and Twin Powers were exported to.
They are reasonalby common here and are alway a favourite with collecors! |

Yes, thanks much for sharing the pics! I especially liked the green Massey 4WD/\...never seen one before, plus the custom "Foal". Looks like it was a very nice show! _________________ So Much To Do, So Little Time! |

The Pony, but also a few of the slightly larger ones, found the way to Norway.
Curious about the 744D - six cylinder - of what make? Masseys own? _________________ I'm loving it! |

| Well they were the British version of the 44 really. The had a 6 cylinder Perkins P6 Diesel motor. Most were built in Kilmarnock, Scotland-though the very early ones were built in Manchester, England. They were a fairly popular tractor in Australia & New Zealand |

Thougt it looked like something seen before A friend of mine is restoring a Fordson E27N about 1950 with a early P6. The tractor was a grader from new and that is the reason for the big engine. At that time no agtractors, I think, had such heavy horsearsenal 45 hp in his E27N, is it the same in the 744D? _________________ I'm loving it! |
